How to become a Casey House volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer at Casey House. We are looking for individuals who have the necessary skills for the role, can commit to volunteering for a minimum of 3-6 months, and can support the hospital’s purpose, values and philosophy of care.

All volunteers are screened and trained before matched with a role, but the first step is to submit an application and attend an information session. Apply online.

Volunteer roles at Casey House

Members of the quilting group design, sew and maintain our annual memorial quilts, each quilt honours the clients who passed away in our care. Casey House’s 1988 quilt was an original panel in the NAMES Project Quilt and is included in the digital archive of the Canadian AIDS Memorial Quilt. Completed quilts are displayed onsite and rotated seasonally. In 2024, our 1991 quilt was included as a part of the Quilts: Made in Canada exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum.
